“Original Custodianship holds the true tenure of this land.”
Our Values
At OCLAW our values reflect the right for Original Custodians law to be accepted and upheld.
A cornerstone of Original Custodians law is their legal meaning of the word “Custodianship.”
In domestic and International law the word relating to land tenure is “Ownership” with its literal meaning as follows:
“The act, state, or right of possessing something.”
This meaning infers a one way relationship to controlling on how a person or entity holding ownership sees fit.
Original Custodian Law sees the land with its flora and fauna as a living entity in which the connection and custodianship of this land is reciprocal.
Original Custodian’s people on the largest continent in Oceania are the oldest continuous cultural law in the world with Custodianship at the core of their land tenure.
OCLAW seek to support this definition of land tenure be accepted in International and domestic Non Original Custodian law if the world is to have a true multicultural accepting legal system and not the current purely Anglo sphere British United States and British created legal system.
